Apr 20,  · The Blow Monkeys: Devil's Tavern ‎ (CD, Album) Blow Monkey Music: MONK 9: UK: more on the nostalgia side like "Travelin' Soul" or catchier like "Frontline" or even with a disco-soul touch like "Save Me". As a whole, the album is quite balanced and with variety at same time, which gives a fair replay value. /5.

Not the big album which would rank as an alltime top album but, at least, half of it's tracks are quite good. Some of them with a slightly touch of psychedelia like the opening track "The World Can Wait" (with a bit of Stone Roses sound sometimes) and others with more on the nostalgia side like "Travelin' Soul" or catchier like "Frontline" or even with a disco-soul touch like "Save Me"/5(8).

Devil’s Tavern. The Blow Monkeys finally returned in with a new album ‘Devil's Tavern’. While harking back to the early 80s pre-dance music roots of the band, the songs oozed maturity as if Robert’s writing had been seasoned by their years apart. Have a listen to ‘Save Me’, “recorded in southern Spain on a hot summer’s.
